robert is legitimately one of the best maths lecturers in the department. lectures are well-structured and he actually prepares you for the exam rather than leaving you guessing what is assessable

proofs show up in the exam and they are not easy. students who coast through the content without understanding the derivations consistently get caught out — the results distribution is quite polarised

builds directly on probability so if you struggled in mast20004 expect a tough time here too. the jump from assignment difficulty to exam difficulty is real and surprises people every semester
