Diagrams are everything in this subject. Even if you explain something perfectly in words, a correct IS-LM shift diagram with labels can add 2–3 marks easily. Practice drawing them quickly.

Genuinely interesting subject — the RBA interest rate decisions suddenly make sense. Good breadth subject for STEM students who want to understand the economy they're working in.

Lighter than I expected for a core commerce subject. About 8 hours a week comfortably. Tutorials are 1 hour and well-run — attendance is tracked so show up.
